Polka Go-Round

Polka Go Round with Lou Prohut and the Polka Go Rounders began the “Polka Go Round” TV show in the Spring of 1958 on WBKB. It was the successor show to "It's Polka Time" with Stan Wolowic and the Polka Chips. Featured vocalist and yodeler Carolyn DeZurik (Rusty Gill’s wife) was also featured at times in the previous “It’s Polka Time” show with Stan Wolowic. Bob Lewandowski was the MC and vocalist. Band members were, Rusty Gill, Guitar, Jack Cordaro, Clairnet, sax and flute, Jimmy James, banjo, Len Druss, clarinet, sax and flute, Clay Campbell, drums, Jimmie Hutchinson, bass and banjo.
Polka Go-Round was a Chicago-based program that aired over the ABC-TV network from June 23, 1958 to September 28, 1959. It was produced at WBKB's 190 North State St. studios and broadcast locally over WBKB Channel 7 and nationally over the ABC Network.
